Period closing
The Period Closing report is an audit report containing information to assist the user. Before generating the tax declaration form, at the end of each month, or when closing a fiscal year, it is important to ensure that all invoices have been printed and all receipts have been deposited to obtain all entries via import into SigaFinance evo.
To generate this report, you must specify a start date and an end date for the audit period. Audit periods can be customized. They can differ from the fiscal year.
Period Closing Summary
When the start and end dates of the Period Closing are specified, the summary of checks to perform is displayed. For details of the checks, you must print or preview the report.
Report Content
Unlocked Invoices
Unlocked invoices are not imported into SigaFinance evo. The tax form cannot be printed for this period. A detailed list of unlocked invoices will appear on the report. Two actions are suggested: print them or delete them.
Number of Undeposited Receipts
Undeposited receipts have no effect on accounting (bank reconciliation in SigaFinance evo). A detailed list of undeposited receipts will appear on the report. Two actions are suggested: deposit them or delete them.
Number of unlocked deposits
Unlocked deposits have no effect in the SigaFinance EVO reconciliation and are not available for import. A detailed list of unlocked deposits will be displayed on the report. Two actions are proposed: print them or delete them.
Accounts Receivable Report
It is suggested to consult the Accounts Receivable report at the same date in order to verify customer receivable balances.
Minimum document date
The purpose of the minimum document date is to prevent billing items (invoice, payment, or deposit) from being added into a closed tax period or fiscal year. This date is optional, but it will help you control the creation dates of invoices, payments, and deposits.

❓Is period closing linked to month-ends in EVO?
Period closing in Sigabill has no effect on month-ends in EVO. Period closing in Sigabill is only intended to guide the user through their checks.
❓I entered a minimum date in Sigabill Settings, as suggested during period closing. What is the minimum date used for?
When a minimum date is entered, it is no longer possible to add invoices, payments, and deposits BEFORE this date. It is recommended to enter a minimum date when the fiscal year is closed in EVO.
